recent discovery of hundreds of new regulatory RNAs
in eukaryotic genomes, there has been a surging
interest in computational tools for the
identification of non coding transcripts. I will
present the different methodologies available for
this purpose, based on free energy calculation,
probabilistic grammars, identification of known
secondary structures, or phylogenetic comparisons.
I will also introduce recent developments in the
characterization of untranslated regions at the 5'
and 3' end of genes. |
