Education and Experience

• Graduate in Biochemistry from Paris VII University, Jussieu
• Assistant and assistant Professor at Paris VII University from 1973 to 1989 : teaching in cellular and molecular biology, epistemology and history of molecular biology.
• Professor at Paris XI University from 1989 to present : teaching in cellular biology, molecular biology of DNA, evolution of microorganisms.
• Research interests : DNA replication - DNA polymerases and topoisomerases - Origin and evolution of life - Archaebacteria - Origin and evolution of hyperthermophiles.
